Here's a short diary - probably doesn't even qualify as a diary.
I don't care, I'm writing it anyway.
Right after reading the liveblog covering President Obama's press conference today, where there was a near-universal sigh of relief from this site, as Obama seemed to reasonably hold his ground, I turned on Alex Wagner.
There were Tweety Matthews, Michael Steele, and some woman I didn't really know lamenting how President Obama has no friends in Congress, how Harry Reid's team hates his team, how they don't talk...
Then revisionist history of how Obama rammed PPACA down his own party's collective throat. Seriously? I kind of remember Reid and Pelosi dancing around in circles and going out of their way to get the final vote through, don't you?
So there it is: our Democratic Party.
I hope every person here who is constantly attacking the President takes good heed of the hand-wringing coming out of the Congressional Dems right now, because that should give us a better idea of what this guy REALLY has been up against. The entire inside-the-beltway episode was screaming about Obama not glad-handing and, in effect, glad-handing.
I really hope the DLCC calls for a donation soon. I really, really hope they tell me the call is being recorded.
Anyway, I feel a lot better about losing the Senate after listening to Tweety and Steele et al talking about how Obama won't bend to the triangulators...
Screw them, every last one.
